Comments: The ending of the story is that Margarita jumped off her mother's lap and went outside. She didn't feel like climbing the tree, so she watched Timoteo plant some flowers.
The reader was left wondering what happened with the tricycle. Margarita saw the neighbors take it, but she doesn't know why. The reader is left wondering why Margarita would lie about what happened to the tricycle. Finally, was the house guest right about the neighbors being thieves?
The story left the reader with many questions. This is the first children's book that I read that has ended so unresolved.
